First off, let me start by saying I did not come up with either of these mods, I merely adapted them using the materials I had access to. First, for the powerstock, I used a 3/4" conduit coupler, a 3/4" conduit slip endcap, and about 4 inches of 3/4" conduit. Also, I used 2 springs out of the front suspension of a RC Harley Davidson.

First, take the coupler and sand down the insides by about 1/2 a millimeter all around. Then, take the black thingie on the end of your Recon off, and cut out the end, and lightly sand down the outside.

Take the sanded end or your coupler, and push it as hard as you can on your black thingie.

Take the conduit, and stick it in the coupler.

Put your endcap on the conduit.

Put your spring/springs into your conduit through the end of the black thingie.

Put the black thingie back on your Recon, and it will now (most likely) shoot further than before.

Secondly, I have just finished my Recon's new paintjob. I painted it in what I felt best suited the Recon's reason for being, as a gun for Recon missions.

The orange on the handle is duct tape.
The way I made it this way was first, I sanded down my Recon, and applied a base coat of black paint. When that had dried, I took strips of Frog tape, and laid them over it. I then put down a few coats of tan-ish paint, waited for it to dry, and laid more Frog tape over it. I then finished with several coats white paint. I waited for it to dry, and then pulled off all of the Frog tape, and ta-dah!

Before anyone asks, I do not have ranges for the powerstock since my gun is still in several pieces due to painting. Yes, the powerstock can be used on a Raider. Any questions? Comments? Insults?

Edit: Picture of it in one piece!

Edit: Ranges: PTG-around 54', ATG-around 108'

Haha, nice job, but I was reading this and skipped over the word "RC"... I read it like you used 2 Harley Davidson suspension springs... I was like "Wow, he must be rich" and "Holy crap how is he going to fit that in the gun!", and "The internals will blow out for sure.", and "Wait a minute I am being a moron, I must of skipped a word." Grin Good job though.

Thanks. It would have been quite interesting trying to put springs that big on there though.

Haha yeah... You could not even fit something like that in there, that was a good idea though.
