Title: HoF's Crazies contest Post by: Techshooter on June 30, 2012, 10:49:39 am So, in an effort to get more members on Home of Foam, the M/A team of Home of Foam has decided to host our own contest. This contest is basically an effort to make the craziest, most unique and functional blaster as possible (as Obiwontwo says, going sideways). We don't care how it looks, the fuglier the better (ala Taerkitty.) Here are the rules for the contest:
-All blaster entries must be posted on Home of Foam. -Each category will be based on a scale of 0 to 10, 0 being the worst, and 10 being the best. -A perfect score is 50 points. -Zero96 and I are the judges. -1st prize is a Rainbow Pistol, made by myself, but we must have at least 7 entries for a 1st prize to be mentioned. If we get a lot of entries, I'll throw something of a 2nd prize together (possible darts or PETG). -All entries must be posted in a writeup format. - The contest starts July 4th, and ends on October 26th. -All entries must be posted on this thread, and only entries will be posted on this thread. If you post questions, we will move it or delete it. If you have questions, post in the planning thread (http://homeofnerf.smfforfree.com/index.php?topic=242.msg1940#new). -A video of your blaster firing/range test is not required, but it helps. -No discussion of this contest should take place on Nerfrevolution, as asked by Rogue and Vincent. So those are the rules/criteria for the contest. Here are the different categories for judging: -Originality (0-10) -Reproducibility (0-10) -Effectiveness (0-10) -use of unexpected/preexisting parts (0-10) -Writeup quality (0-10) I think that covers most of everything.
