Like that one he who shall not be named had? The two Nerf swords that could combine to make the double sword. The vandetta sword or something like that. They only sell it at Toys r us. Linky. For $30, you might as well just buy two of the normal swords, put the male half of the threaded coupler on one sword, and then put the female on the other sword. Bam, double sword. Ahh yes, that is it Vendetta! Its still not as cool as the real deal... I think this is kind of a good idea. I've seen some at my target for $20, over they're not really worth it. Get a warlock, MUCH more fun (easpacially when you throw it and hit someone in unmentionable places.) |

How about this, I give a one week notice to when I make a newsletter. In that time you can post a link and/or a pic of the blaster and the name of the user who made it. I'll ask them if it's OK and if it all goes good we'll have it in our newsletter =)
Sounds good, I think we could throw some good ol' throwbacks in there too. So the final layout.... Top 2 Throwbacks Top 2 NIC all arounds Top 2 HoF exclusives |

Just a short note saying that I'd love to make a monthly newsletter, heck, I'd make a weekly one but in order to do that I need to have more blasters of the week entries. If you have any ideas or substitutions for that idea then please, post them.
Hmmm, this is a suggestion, so I'm going to need some feedback on this one. Perhaps we could get the blaster of the month/week from other sites other then here at HoF. And then when then tell the modder (Via PM on that site) that he is going to have a spot in our "Blaster of the week/month in our Newsletter." Perhaps encouraging the modder to come here. Does that sound like a good idea, or does it sound like the ramblings of a mad Nerfer? How about this, I give a one week notice to when I make a newsletter. It's more the fact that people have yet to make a stefan type disc for them but I've overhauled my praxis and it works pretty well.

Not a tip but i saw a kid wielding an nlue, yellow, and i believe orange sm1500 at the beach that shot water a few days ago. I sense a company getting sue'd in the future

I was thinking about reproducability, cost, and writeup quality. I like what Exo posted, also, and they should be added to my list (but if it's a "crazy" contest, I don't really think cleanliness matters.) I think everything should be allowed, unless it is dangerous. If their are any lurkers out their with ideas, post them for gosh sake!
Edit: I would also like a different forum to help support us. Nhaven and NHQ are out, so that leaves Nrev and FU. We have internal ties with FU, but those ties are a brother, and you know how they are, so I was leaning more towards Nrev. Also, it would be cool if we could get a blog to help us out. I'm friends with an author of Acenerfer's blog, but I kind of want something... bigger.
I would ask Vince and Rouge first. If they say go for it then PM taerkitty and see if he'll help because he's great at hoese kind of things (I'm guaranteeing that if he enters he'll get a "0" in the cleanliness part of the contest. |

That is basically the trend of the members on our website. I think it's only me and you now, Zero. I like the originality contest. Creative, wacky stuff is always good. We could open it to everything (including darts). What does the silent majority think (haha, I quoted Nixon).
As I prize, I could off a RBPistol with a 1/8in. ID plunger tube. I have lots of scrap left from my Tbow...
We'll need a second and third place prizes but in order to get members and entries we could change our tag things in our sigs from others sties from, "Come join our Home Of Foam," To, "Want a free RBPistol? Join our contest now!" |

One thing that I've never understood is if people are trying to make metal-free darts, why don't they cut polycarb circles or something? Or use some sort of plastic washer, other than nylon (they are way too much.) That's all Kanes ~ANS are trying to acomplish.
Or some sort of cardboard head darts. Wire wrap darts are effective like that too. |
