Seeing as this is a "show off your..." thread, I figured stickying would keep people from necros.

It's Exostein's Monster! I had an old NF shell that had an ugly PJ on it, so I scraped it off, but there were some areas that were hard to get, but I liked it because it looked like dirt and grime, so I enhanced that effect, and added some blood. The bolt helps the effect a little bit. I also added a wood foregrip I had for another NF project that never happened, and I had some custom internals that were mostly experimental. The tube is a sink drain, so it has the same ID as 1.25" PVC, except it's much thinner (OD is smaller), and the inside is perfectly smooth, just like a stock PT. I used aluminium U-channel for the plunger rod, so all of the moving parts (spring not counted) weigh only 61 grams. It uses a spring I got from DIB, it has a 5.5" draw, but may be a bit weaker than ACE 49's. There are actually two stains on the wood, and I wanted to go for three (one just in the grooves) and a clear coat, but this thing was supposed to be done a week ago, so I just hurried it through.

(Yes, it's what I said in the other thread.)

That's just crazy! It looks like it shoots really well from an ergo and performance standpoint. I love it. Both the plunger tube and plunger rod are great choices! I hope you're doing a full write-up.

Woah... Exo, did you murder some one with a NF again and say it was a bad PJ?... You got to quit doing that man!

On a serious note, very cool man, one of the most original mods and PJ I have seen in awhile.

I took inspiration from boot's bargain (plunger rod) and banshee's offender (plunger tube).  I wouldn't say it was that original, but I believe it's one of the first times someone's replaced the light with a foregrip.

If anyone really thought about frankenstein's monster, they'd realize that it would bleed out in the first few seconds, no matter how well the veins were stitched together, they wouldn't have time to mend, being not alive. That's why I put the blood dripping from the bolt and from where the PT meets the shell.

I may do a semi-writeup, just to show off the wierd stuff. Powerwise, I haven't really tested it, but the seal is doing okay (just not on the bushing), and although the prime feels light, it still has some good power behind it, and the draw and volume are fair. I do know that it shoots arrows 25'.

As for ergo, it's ccomfy to draw and hold, and to fire, but it is definitely front heavy, so the grip does help, but I'd like a stock, so I'd use my RCCarbine over this any day. I'd love to do this with my barrelbreak, seeing as how it's already minimized for something like this.
