Discs are interesting ammo. If they are fired perfectly level, as determined by a bubble level attached to the tacrail, they will fly just like any dart will. When angled just enough to tip the bubble, they will float miraculously.
Here is a video demonstrating this concept. This probably isn't that surprising to most people, but I thought I'd start a discussion on discs and their flight characteristics.

That's really interesting. So, when people fire their blasters "flat" and get 50ft. ranges, it is really slightly angled. My discs curve. I have a tendacy to tilt my blaster at an angle, so my discs typically curve to the left unless I pay attention to keeping it level.

... Tech... You do know that banding a animal is getting rid of the balls right?

Yeah, mine seemed to get about 35' when 100% flat, but would hit about waist-highish at 35' when minutely angled.

Hmmm interesting, I have never fired a disc gun before....

Have you thought about mounting a small level on it so you can shoot how you want perfectly every time?

Well, I haven't taken the level off yet, it's still masking taped on. I was thinking more along the lines of cutting a front and rear sight post with a slight angling to them, but I can tell that's going to be a pain in the ass, so the level is staying on for now.
